Dyne Celebrates 25 years - January 2024

Dyne Fire Protection Labs is proud to celebrate its 25^th anniversary! Dyne began in February of 1999, testing firefighting foam. From its inception, Dyne has provided quality customer service; free, postage-paid sample kits[1]; unbiased, accurate, and precise test results; and archived reports accessible via the web. The test report will be in your electronic inbox within a week or less from the time the sample is received in our laboratory, guaranteed.  This allows you, the customer, to close out the testing task efficiently, leaving you more time to address other business opportunities.

The goal 25 years ago was to make the laboratory testing required by NFPA 25[2] quick, accurate and easy, so that it is sure to be completed. That continues to be our goal today. Over the years, Dyne has expanded and now offers the following testing services:

In 2023, Dyne went beyond testing by offering the Dropmaster™ DM12 Siphoning System. Though not a testing service, the Dropmaster is a product that makes it easy to remove sprinklers and send them in for testing.

At the core of Dyne is our quality management system. Dyne first obtained ISO 9001[3] certification in 2004, and it is still maintained today. And with sprinkler testing, we went a step further in 2020 by obtaining ISO/IEC 17025[4] accreditation. These qualifications require an annual audit by an independent auditor and drive continual improvement and assure your satisfaction.

So how important is it that testing is completed? Not only it is a requirement of NFPA 25, but a percentage of the samples we test no longer perform as intended. In these cases, it could be a matter of the system not performing and the fire not being controlled. Not to be overly dramatic, but in some cases, it could be a matter of life and death.
