Our motto at Dyne Fire Protection Labs has been the same since we began testing, 25 years ago, in 1999.
“Create an efficient, accurate and reliable testing system, so critical, recommended, fire protection testing is hassle-free and more likely to be completed.”

The result of this motto is the Dyne Difference which continues to evolve and fits right in with ISO International Standard Organization approval – Quality Management Systems Requirements ISO-9001, 2015 edition – of continuous improvement.

Here are the highlights of the Dyne Difference:

• Results are guaranteed in 5 business days or less. Ninety-some percent of samples tested at Dyne

pass the testing requirement and are determined to perform as designed. But for the samples that fail, it is

imperative to know that result as soon as possible so that replacement can occur quickly before a fire occurs

and the system fails to perform.

• Free test kits and free shipping in the contiguous United States. Kits include containers, packing, paperwork and a prepaid shipping label making it easy to take samples and get them shipped to our laboratory. This feature is unquestionably a time and money saver for our customers.

• Electronic paperwork – This allows customers to minimize the time spent filling out paperwork and can ensure the accuracy of the sample information (even if your handwriting is questionable).

• Accurate and repeatable test results – perhaps the most important Dyne Difference! Our quality management system requires repeatability studies. An example of this is testing a foam sample many times, by many technicians and calculating the uncertainty of every result produced at Dyne, and ensuring this uncertainty is at an acceptable minimum. Dyne uncertainty values are available upon request.

• Training – All of the technicians at Dyne complete a rigorous training protocol before testing customer samples. The training protocol is part of our quality system.

• Approvals – no test report is released from Dyne without approval by an upper-level technician reviewing the results to ensure the information is inputted correctly and that the results are consistent.

• Data Management – As soon as your samples are received at Dyne, they are entered into a database and properly labeled. You immediately receive an email notification that the samples have been received. Then as testing is completed, the test results are entered directly into the database in the laboratory. The approver reviews and signs off on the results, and the database generates a report that is sent to the customer. The database also generates the invoice information. This results in minimal processing errors. The reports are electronically available to the customer by password protected access.

• Sample Retention – Foam samples are retained for 1 month should a retest be deemed necessary. Sprinkler retests are not possible, however, sprinklers are photographed and the link to download the pictures online is available for 90 days then the pictures are archived at Dyne (and must be requested).
